Songs of hope and inspiration in Canberra

Alchemy Chorus, Canberra’s dementia-inclusive choir gave the first of two public concerts for 2019 on April 13. The musical program focused on songs of hope and inspiration as we hope a cure for dementia can be found soon and we are determined not to allow dementia define us.

Alchemy Chorus brings together people living with dementia, their carers, volunteer musicians and singers for music-making, story-sharing, laugher and fun.

The choir of 80 singers is into its third year of weekly rehearsals, as we build a supportive, caring and inclusive community. Its inclusive model is proof that a shared music experience is hugely positive for all.
