Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA)

QAGOMA host visitors with dementia and ensure our staff receive education and training around dementia awareness. This is an ongoing commitment.  

QAGOMA also provides a free participant-focused program for members of the community living with dementia which is structured around reminiscence, validation and socialisation.

The morning program includes viewing two dementia-accessible artworks, followed by a tactile and sensory based creative activity. People living with dementia and their care partners can engage in a meaningful, participatory experience that supports autonomy, reduces isolation and connects community members in a dementia-friendly setting.
