Preventing Dementia Forum

The Forum will focus on:

  • The major factors that influence dementia risk
  • The potential impact of addressing modifiable risk factors
  • Evidence suggests that reducing population exposure to modfiable risk factors may prevent thousands of cases of dementia in Australia
  • Increased community education about this potential is needed to enable individuals, health professionals and policy makers to adopt dementia risk reduction strategies.
