Brisbane City Council Libraries

Public libraries are hubs of their community. They exist to strengthen local communities through services and activities centred around information, learning, reading, recreation and culture.

As the library service for Brisbane, we aim to do this in a way that reflects our passion for the city, our commitment to excellent customer service and our underlying belief in lifelong learning.

Brisbane City Council provides significant resources to enable our libraries to be vibrant, welcoming and convenient for customers. This is visible to the community online and at each of the 33 branches, the Mobile Library, City Archives and the Pop-up Library.
